Terms of service
Last updated 21 October 2026
These terms cover your use of TrueMargin at trytruemargin.com, which is operated by Brandon Ta, an individual trading as TrueMargin (“we”, “us”). By creating an account you agree to them.
What TrueMargin does
You upload payment and order files that you export yourself from Etsy, eBay, Amazon and Shopify, and TrueMargin calculates profit per order, SKU and channel from them. It never connects to a marketplace account. The numbers are only as good as the files and cost figures you provide. TrueMargin is not accounting, legal or tax advice.
Your account
- You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email address. Keep that mailbox secure.
- You are responsible for what you upload and for having the right to use it.
- Do not misuse the service: no attacks, scraping at scale or attempts to reach other accounts.
Plans and payment
Paid plans are Maker, Starter, Growth and Pro, billed monthly or yearly through Polar, our payment provider and merchant of record. Every plan starts with a 14-day trial; your card is entered at sign-up and the first charge is on day 15. You can cancel at any time from Settings; access continues until the end of the period you paid for. Refunds are described on the refund page.
Your data
Your uploads and the profit figures calculated from them belong to you. How we handle them is described in the privacy policy. You can export your figures at any time.
Availability and liability
We work to keep the service running but do not promise it will always be available or error free. To the extent the law allows, TrueMargin is not liable for indirect losses or for business decisions made from the figures it shows, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes and ending the service
We may update these terms; if a change matters we will tell you by email before it applies. You can stop using TrueMargin at any time. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam. Disputes go to the competent courts of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have in your country of residence.
